Services we offer include, but are not limited to:

 Routine Dental Cleaning

It is recommended that patients be seen for a dental cleaning and routine exam every 6 months or as recommended by their family dentist. Routine visits include a range of low-key procedures. We will conduct a thorough examination of teeth and gums and an oral cancer screening. During your cleaning, we will remove calculus and plaque, which helps you achieve a polished and bright smile. X-rays will be taken as needed, as will distribution of fluoride treatments. If needed, we will provide disease prevention counseling to ensure you have lasting dental health.

 Cosmetic Bonding

This procedure covers discolored teeth, closes gaps, and whitens and repairs teeth. It is considered to be a conservative treatment, as it maintains natural tooth structure.

 Lumineers (Veneers)

Applied and bonded to the front of your existing tooth structure, veneers are a thin porcelain or ceramic restoration that is applied and bonded to the front of your existing tooth structure. Porcelain veneers are an excellent choice for correcting crooked or misaligned teeth, discoloration resistant to dental bleaching, or gaps between teeth.
A veneer is virtually undetectable when applied to the tooth. Veneers take on the natural coloration of your teeth due to its thin nature. This allows us to be quite conservative in removing tooth structure.

 Crowns and Bridges

When a tooth is severely damaged or has suffered from advanced decay, and cannot be fixed with bonded filling material, crowns are necessary. A crown covers the remaining tooth to restore its function, esthetics, and strength. Several crown materials are available and will be discussed on an individual basis, depending on which area of the mouth needs to be restored.
Bridges can be utilized when tooth loss occurs due to decay, injury, or gum disease. If it is not corrected, the loss of the tooth can create greater problems for your dental health. If the teeth next to the missing tooth (or teeth) begin to shift, it can result in discomfort, pain, and can look unsightly. A bridge will close any gaps in your mouth. It acts and looks just like a natural tooth, is permanently cemented, and helps to maintain the position of the rest of your teeth.

 Tooth Colored Fillings

In recent years, tooth colored fillings have improved with better color, stability, and strength. Tooth colored fillings are very popular due to their natural looking appearance.

 Teeth Bleaching (Whitening)

You will start to see a brighter and whiter smile soon after starting treatment at our office. With a professional whitening service, the effects of smoking, tea, coffee, and other causes of tooth discoloration will slowly disappear, leaving a white, beautiful smile. To see if you're a candidate for teeth whitening, please schedule a consultation.

 Gum Treatment

You may not have any symptoms and your mouth may feel healthy, but gum (periodontal) disease can progress without a patient knowing. If it is left untreated, periodontal disease can destroy the supporting bones in your mouth. This is why early prevention and treatment is essential! We maintain the highest quality of care at our practice to prevent gum disease from developing.

 Root Canal Therapy

When severe trauma has affected a tooth, or when a cavity has reached the pulp of a tooth, causing an infection of the nerve, root canal therapy is needed. Regular, routine checkups with your family dentist help to prevent and avoid the need for endodontic therapy. If the pulp has become infected, it must be treated to avoid further issues, since it cannot heal itself. Pain, swelling, sensitivity to hot or cold foods or liquids, or even a bad taste in your mouth may be signs that a pulp is infected. For some patients, there are no obvious symptoms and they are not aware of a problem existing until they are seen for an exam.
Endodontic therapy involves your dentist cleaning out the infected pulp and disinfecting the canals of the tooth. After the area has been disinfected, the canals of the tooth are filled with special material to prevent further infections, and to aid in the healing of the tooth. Sometimes a crown, bonded post, or a core build-up are necessary for restoring a tooth to function.

 Partial and Complete Dentures

Complete dentures are used to replace a person's teeth when they are all missing. Removable dentures are designed to restore the function, beauty, and health of your smile. They are crafted to fit comfortably and snugly in your individual mouth. When in place dentures can:

- Replace your missing teeth
- Help restore your ability to speak and eat
- Improve the appearance of your smile
- Prevent facial sagging

In just a few visits, we can create and place your dentures. Your dentures will be custom made to feel and look like natural teeth so you can feel confident every time you smile. If you are missing teeth and want to learn more about the benefits of dentures, please give our office a call today.

 Extractions (Including Wisdom Teeth)

Wisdom teeth are removed on a case-by-case basis, and not everyone's need to be extracted. They should be removed when teeth are causing problems to adjacent teeth and tissues, or are impacted and causing pain and symptoms. A consultation session will be scheduled before surgery to discuss the risks and benefits of the procedure.
In addition, to the list above, our dental practice also provides other surgical procedures, and implants and mini implants (to retain complete lower dentures). We happily provide dentistry for children, medically compromised patients, and seniors. For more information about our additional procedures, please call us at 225-775-0363 today!
